PS4 Neo Reportedly to be Unveiled in Early September

Sony has been quite mum about the PlayStation 4 Neo ever since it confirmed its existence. Reportedly, Sony will announce PS4 Neo on September 7th at an event.

Vice and Gameblog both report the event, which will be held in New York. This event’s date is well before the September 15th date for the Tokyo Game Show. There are no other details. If true, Sony should be sending out event invitations soon.

After months of rumors, Sony officially announced the PS4 Neo, an upgraded version of its current PS4 console. This announcement was countered by Microsoft with its announcement of Project Scorpio, its own upgraded version of its console, The Xbox One. Neo is supposed to “sit alongside and complement the standard PS4.

There have been reports that the PS4 Neo could release sometime this year,. However, the release could be delayed after the Microsoft’s Project Scorpio was first announced.
