Xbox Live Tips Off Earthlock as Free Game for Next Month

Microsoft has let slip that Earthlock: Festival of Magic will be one of the free games for Xbox Live’s Games for Gold in September. The game is a western-themed adventure game that plays like a JRPG. The game’s developer is Snowcastle Games, a Norwegian studio, and Nordic themes are present in the game.

Earthlock: Festival of Magic began as a Kickstarter project in 2013. Snowcastle announced the game’s September 1st launch back in July. In the announcement, they said that Windows PC and Xbox One versions would release first. Versions for the PlayStation and Wii U would follow “a month or two” after.
