Ubisoft have confirmed plans for an open beta for The Division, and as leaked previously the open beta will kick off on Xbox One on February 18. The beta will last until February 21 and PC and PS4 players will be able to join on February 19.
The objective with this open beta is to further test the systems ahead of launch and gather even more player feedback. In addition to the content of the closed beta there will be one further mission to explore and everyone who participates will receive an in-game reward come full launch of the game.
Pre-loading of the beta client (likely about the same size as that for the closed beta) will begin on February 16 for everyone. Hopefully those who hung on to their closed beta file won’t be forced to download again, but there’s no confirmation of that.
