Homefront: The Revolution developer Dambuster Studios has acknowledged that the game has issues with its frame rate and promises fixes in the form of patches.
“It has been a long road for us, and we’re only getting started,” the developer has stated in the game’s forums. “But we’re also aware that performance–particularly frame rate–is not currently where we want it to be, and we are working on additional patches to help address these issues and more.”
The game, released for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, had problems maintaining 30fps while in the game’s main zone, Elmtree. The Xbox One performed about 3fps better than the PS4 on average, but was still hovering at around 20-25fps. While indoors, both versions were at a more solid 30fps.
The game, whose development history has been pretty tumultuous, has been poorly received. Many outlets are labeling the game as average, with some treating it pretty harshly.
