Alienation developer Housemarque has been busy with the game. The biggest post-release patch, released in July, added local co-op. Today, they released another patch that adds quite a bit more.
First among the additions is Weekly Missions. These missions offer up rewards for completing them, but feature “unusual rules.” New loot has also been added, including armor with customizable colors and different types of modifiers. A new difficulty setting – Legend – has also been added, as well as a higher Hero Level cap. Finally, my fellow trophy who…er, hunters can look forward to six more trophies.
Housemarque is also selling some paid DLC. Chief among them is a secondary laser weapon named Devastator and a heavy cannon with bouncing projectile weapons named Collapser. Both can be purchased for $4.99. There’s also an Armor Paint Pack for $0.99 that includes three exclusive paints as well as a s a $4.99 Veteran Heroes Pack. The latter allows players to start new characters at level 15 with immediate access to World Level 2. All of these DLC are available with the Season Pass, so folks who purchased it at launch will have access to everything.
For those who have relentlessly played Alienation, this update gives you plenty more to utilize. For those who fell off, now would be a great chance to get back in.
