Warcraft, the critically-panned summer movie, will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD on September 27th. Buyers of the physical copy, however, may get an extra bonus.
There are “select” physical copies that will include extra digital content. The most notable of the digital content is World of Warcraft, the MMORPG for the PC. It will include all expansions up to Warlords of Draenor and 30 days of game time for new players.
The physical copy will include Medivh for the PC collectible card game Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft and Gul’dan for Heroes of the Storm. The items will only be offered “while supplies last”, according to a news release.
The physical Blu-ray version will include other extras, including a motion comic, a multi-part documentary that chronicles how the game was turned into a movie, a featurette on wax Warcraft figures, and a teaser that was shown at the 2013 San Diego Comic-Con.
One thing missing from the Blu-ray is the extended version director Duncan Jones had talked about. Jones explained the reason for the missing extended version on Twitter:
@iAxX23 @ForlornSumika there will be no extended cut unless the theatrical does well. That is just the way of things.

The movie was not a great performer in North America, but managed to turn a profit after its performance in China.
Digital Crack reviewed Warcraft after its theatrical release. Jones has plans for a sequel but there has been no word about a date.
