Update: The livestream is now over. You can read through our archived liveblog below, and head here to see everything coming in Destiny’s newly confirmed Rise of Iron expansion.
Original Story: Developer Bungie is holding a livestream today to reveal new content coming to Destiny. The new expansion, which the developer accidentally confirmed is called Rise of Iron, will be detailed and shown off during this stream. If you can’t watch the stream live, you can follow along with our live blog below that’ll start when the stream begins at 10 AM PT.
Bungie’s had several leaks over the last few weeks that hint at what Rise of Iron might include. According to the leaks, Rise of Iron will feature a new raid and a new type of weapon, and it’ll be larger than the first two Destiny expansions, House of Wolves and The Dark Below. Quite a bit of information, regarding the much-anticipated return of a certain rocket launcher, was leaked this morning.
Earlier this year, Activision announced that a new expansion would come at the end of 2016 and a sequel to Destiny will come in 2017. However, reports suggest that Destiny 2 was recently rebooted.
It’s likely that Bungie will talk about Rise of Iron more next week, so keep an eye on GameSpot during E3 2016.
