With less than a month before launch, The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson took to Twitter to announce that the Season Pass for Gears of War 4 is getting a boost in rewards.
FYI We're upping the value of the Season Pass replacing the 6 Gear Packs with a 17 pack Starter Air Drop. pic.twitter.com/lXkNfLHDXT

Instead of the six Gear Packs that were initially promised, the Season Pass will contain a 17-pack Air Drop. This Air Drop will contain five boosters each for Horde, Versus, and Operations; as well as two Elite Packs. At five cards apiece, that comes out to 85 cards total. Fergusson calls this a “sample platter.”
Starter Airdrop = 17 packs = 5 Horde Boosters, 5 Versus Boosters, 5 Operations Packs and 2 Elite Packs = 85 cards. It's a sampler platter 🙂

In addition to the Starter Air Drop, the $50 Season Pass includes:
- The VOP Vintage Pack, which includes a character and more than 24 weapon skins
- Permanent ownership of all 24 DLC maps
- The Developer Playlist, which rewards maps, modes, and variants before the game’s release
Gears of War 4 releases for the Xbox One and PC on October 11th. Since this game is part of Microsoft’s Play Anywhere program, a purchase on one platform will net you a free digital copy of the game for the other platform.
