Two Gears of War 4 Xbox One S bundles were announced recently. They join the special edition 2TB Gears of War 4 Xbox One S bundle announced in July.
The first bundle is a white 1TB console with a digital copy of the game and retails for $350. The other bundle is a “deep blue” 500GB console with a physical copy of the game. That bundle retails for $300. The latter console is exclusive to GameStop. As a further note, the physical copy of the game is available to anyone outside of Australia. There, only a digital copy is offered.
Both consoles are set to release on October 11th. Purchasers of one of the bundles will receive all previous Gears of War for the Xbox 360 for free. The titles – Gears of War, Gears of War 2, Gears of War 3, and Gears of War: Judgement – will play on the Xbox One via backwards compatibility. Anyone who purchases Gears of War 4, regardless of the bundle, will still get those games so long as they purchase before 2016.
The most extreme bundle, however, is the crimson-red Gears of War 4 2TB Xbox One S bundle. That bundle, which releases four days before the others, includes a pattern-matched controller. It also comes bundled with a copy of the $100 Gears of War 4 Ultimate Edition. That version of the game unlocks four days early as well.
Gears of War 4 releases on October 11th for Xbox One and PC. Since it is a Play Anywhere title, a digital purchase will unlock the game on both platforms. Pre-loading has already started for the Xbox One; the PC version is soon to follow.
