Polyphony Digital CEO Kazunori Yamauchi announced that during a special event in London that Gran Turismo Sport, the developer’s first series entry for the PS4, will be released on November 15, 2016 in Japan, Asia, And North America, with a November 18 release in the United Kingdom.Gran Turismo Sport was first announced on October 2015. There was no mention of the beta, which was to be available sometime in early 2016. Yamauchi did mention that the studio planned to make the game compatible with Playstation VR. VR support was also mentioned in 2015.Gran Turismo Sport is not part of the mainline Gran Turismo series. Gran Turismo 7, the next entry in that series, had not been given an official announcement. Yamauchi had originally said in 2013 that GT7 would see a release in either 2014 or 2015.
