Outcon Impression
Uncle Willy and I had the most amazing pleasure of going to OUT Con. It was held on August 4th and hosted by Jonathan (Strykerkun) Stryker, who’s started OUT Con 3 years ago. Friends, let me tell you: It was so much fun!
We came across so many friendly folks, including our host Jonathan himself. He was running everything and would still give his time to talk and listen to people. Hell, I was cosplayed up to the 9s and managed to talk to him also give him a hug because, if you don’t know yet I’m a hugger, lol. No seriously, ask Jesus! He was there, giving free hugs. True story.
We started our afternoon at OUT Con meeting some awesome and interesting people and making friends while reuniting with old ones as well. There were K-pop singers, cosplayers, lip-syncers battling on stage, and more. Willy
and I have been to a good amount of cons but this was our very first LGBTQ con, and we really did not know what to expect. (Ed Note: Willy did. He ain’t a square like Punisher. Wait…do people still say “square?”)
It was so much fun! I have fun in cons no matter what, but this one I was willing to go back and stay till it was over. I got to meet such talented cosplayers who I’ve become good friends with and honestly can’t wait till next year for OUT Con or if Jonathan does another con or gaming tournament soon.
Jonathan, thank you for this creating OUT Con also being such a great person. We here at Digital Crack Network / Miami Geeks hope to one day do a live podcast from the event and also work together.
