P.T. Spiritual Successor Cancelled

P.T. Spiritual Successor Cancelled

Allison Road, the horror game inspired by Konami’s cancelled P.T., has been cancelled by UK studio Lilith.

The cancellation was announced on Twitter over the weekend. No reason was given for the cancellation.

The buzz for Allison Road grew quickly after a YouTube video showing prototype gameplay surfaced. Comparisons to P.T., Konami’s playable teaser of the since-cancelled Silent Hills, began almost immediately. Fans of horror games were heavily anticipating this game’s release.

Allison Road took to Kickstarter on October 2015 in order to raise funds. It raised £146,000 out of £250,000 ($224,000 out of $384,000) before Lilith pulled the plug on the Kickstarter, securing funding from publisher Team 17 instead.

A statement by the developer explaining the cancellation has been promised for the next couple of days.

He has been playing video games for longer than he would like to admit, and is passionate about all retro games and systems. He also goes to bars with an NES controller hoping that entering the Konami code will give him thirty chances with the drunk chick at the bar. His interests include vodka, old-school games, women, vodka, and women gamers who drink vodka.
