On September 22nd, PlayStation Plus prices will go up. This is according to a PlayStation Blog post. The new prices will be as follows:
- $59.99 for one year (up from $49.99)
- $24.99 for three months (up from $17.99)
- $9.99 for one month (no change in price)
All current subscribers will not be hit with the new prices until they have to renew their subscriptions.
This news will no doubt make some unhappy. PlayStation Blog does point out, however, that PlayStation Plus pricing has remained stable since its launch in 2010. If players do decide to cancel their membership, they lose access to all Plus benefits. That includes online play on the PS4, as well as all free games given to subscribers each month.
