The arrival of the Pokemon GO Plus has been a mixed bag. iPhone users have had a seamless experience with the Pokemon GO Bluetooth accessory. But many Android users are experiencing issues with keeping the device paired to their phone. Most cannot keep them paired for more than five minutes.
The Pokemon GO subreddit has become overrun with threads discussing connectivity issues and possible solutions for Android phones using the Pokemon GO Plus. The device makes it easier for Pokemon GO players to catch Pokemon and loot PokeStops without using the phone. The unpairing between the device and Android phones is so frequently, however, that many players prefer just using the phone. Considering how difficult it is even find a Pokemon GO Plus for purchase, that is a serious case of blue balls for die-hard Pokemon GO players.
Niantic has taken to the Twitterverse to announce help may be on the way:
Trainers, Pokémon GO is being updated to version 0.37.1 for Android and 1.7.1 for iOS with minor fixes for the Pokémon GO Plus.

It’s not known if the fix will directly address the issues with the Pokemon GO Plus and Android phones. For those Android users fretting about the issue, I can only tell you it could be worse. I mean, remember how long it took just to get Pokemon GO stable?
