The E3 2016 rumor mill is at full churn, and now Bethesda will take a turn at it. The publisher is at the center of rumors concerning the games they will debut during their conference on June 12th. Eurogamer has pooled information from multiple sources that seem to back up the rumors.
First among the rumors is that Bethesda will announce a remastered version of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Sources say that the game will be prettied up for current-gen consoles and will include “mods, all DLC [and] improved visuals.” Console mod support for Bethesda games is already available on the Xbox One, with PS4 mod support soon to arrive, so Bethesda can easily offer mods for the remastered Skyrim if true.
Next up is Wolfenstein: New Order 2, a game that Eurogamer twigged to after a voice actor in the first game hinted that she was working on a second game. Nothing else is known about the game, so we will have to wait for E3 for more possible information.
A surprise mention was Prey 2, a game that Bethesda cancelled in 2014 but seems to have been resurrected. It is thought that this game is totally different from the Human Head-developed game that Bethesda cancelled. Development is said to be handled by a new division of Dishonored developer Arkane Studios.
Bethesda has already announced Dishonored 2 and will be showing off the game at E3. The game, developed by Arkane Studios, Is already set for a November 11th release for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
The only wild card left is The Evil Within 2. Although nothing has been mentioned, a sequel of the 2014 survival horror game is expected. For news about this game, as well as any other surprises Bethesda may have in store, we will need to tune in to their E3 conference on Sunday.
