A new story trailer has been released for the upcoming Injustice 2 game. While it doesn’t show any gameplay, the cinematics show a lot of the story behind the game. It’s quite dramatic. Also, I have to call shenanigans on the end bit. You will see why. Injustice 2 is set to release on May 19, 2017 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Every year, by the time Christmas passes, we all take stock in the year we had. Many of us look back, promise to do better next year, and look forward to a better New Year. I don’t make that promise, because I know I’m going to fuck up just as bad in the upcoming year as I did in the year I’m ending, if not worse. I’m old; I ain’t changing anything except my underwear, and even THAT can be prolong...[Read More]

This whole curmudgeon bit doesn’t suit me at all. I wanna be happy about the news surrounding a possible Marvel vs Capcom 4 game. I really do. But recent history and other rumors shake my faith enough that I have to don the grump mask one more time. First, a little back story. Back in March 2014, Capcom’s contract with Marvel ended. The partnership that saw the release of some of the most beloved ...[Read More]

A couple of job postings on Blizzard’s website are calling for Lead Software Engineers, Engine and Tools, for “unannounced games/projects.” There is no information on what game it could be, but many, including Eurogamer, are speculating that it could be for an Overwatch campaign. The postings call for people who are experienced working with a “robust first-person engine for an unannounced project&...[Read More]
Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 is one of those games I should have played years ago. Back in 2006, I played the original Marvel: Ultimate Alliance on my Xbox 360 to death. Literally. My original console fell victim to the dreaded Red Ring of Death and needed to be repaired. Unwilling to wait umpteen weeks while Microsoft applied Scotch tape to my console’s innards, I simply bought another one. That’s...[Read More]
Microsoft has been on a bit of a tear lately. For the last three months, data tracking site NPD has reported the Xbox One has topped the console sales charts. In a statement given to Destructoid, Microsoft is claiming that its streak is continuing for a fourth straight month. Without giving sales numbers, the Redmond, Washington company says the Xbox One was “October’s best-selling console.” The X...[Read More]
EA has released a new trailer for BioWare’s MASS EFFECT: ANDROMEDA today. For fans of the series, there is enough here to intrigue. The game has a vague release of Spring 2017, and I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say that’s too long a wait!
Every year, the High Priests of Blizzard gather their flock and descend upon Anaheim, California to profess their faith and devotion. They call it BlizzCon, and they bill it as some celebration of gaming. Obviously, it’s just a front ritualistic activity. I’ve seen the pictures. People dressed as demons and orcs and pandas. There’s even a Weird Al Yankovic sighting this year. It’s obviously pagan ...[Read More]
