With Forza Horizon 3 out for Xbox One and PC, you would figure Microsoft would have created a console bundle for the game. Maybe some garish yellow Xbox One S with a matching controller and the game. Well, there’s no such beast, but that doesn’t mean Microsoft has been sitting on its hands. I present to you two Forza Horizon 3-inspired custom Xbox One S consoles.

First up is the one that practically screams at you to notice it: the Audi R8-themed Xbox One S. This monster was designed for a special giveaway in Germany. Three “lucky” winners will win one of these custom-made consoles. The lines mimic the front fascia of Audi’s R8 supercar, complete with Audi’s logo, with the disc drive opening taking up the right side of the face. The console comes with a leather-wrapped controller with a start/stop button similar to the car’s start button.
The console looks…weird to me. It looks like Microsoft cut a car’s nose off and sanded it down some to make it more squarish. Ol’ August Horch, Audi’s original designer, would not approve. The controller does nook nicer, and the start button is a nice touch. The console, though? I’m not a fan.

The other custom console, however, is damn sexy. It’s a Microsoft collaboration with Lamborghini, and it’s part of a giveaway for Australian customers. The console is inspired by the Centario supercar, all black, with lime green accents. A subtle hood bulge with the Lambo insignia adorns the top. The console also brings a color-keyed controller. It’s the grand prize in EB Games Expo’s Xbox Fanfest event.
Where the Audi-inspired Xbox One S looks garish to my eyes, the Lamborghini-themed console looks muted but stylish. Both consoles, however, are indeed eye-catching. Here’s hoping that Microsoft does something similar Stateside. I would KILL for a Stingray- or Mustang Cobra-themed Xbox One S!
